Kemba Credit Union has adopted the following Community Outreach Mission Statement:
To be an active partner in our community while continuing to build a positive image for the credit union by upholding the industry’s philosophy of “people helping people.”

Through direct financial support or other volunteer contributions to local organizations and by participating in public service activities, Kemba Credit Union strives to be an active partner in our community. We recognize that practicing good corporate citizenship supports the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” It will also help raise the overall level of social and economic well being of those in our community, help strengthen ties within the community and better position us to reach out and serve.

Kemba Credit Union participates in multiple public service activities throughout the year; HOSTS (Helping One Student to Succeed), Adopt-A-Class Program, Memory Walk, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, Humana Heart Walk, Credit Union for Kids supporting Children’s Miracle Network, National Urban League through the Kroger Company and canned good collection for St. Michael’s.

These activities are very rewarding for the Kemba staff and those involved. Members also show support throughout the year in helping the credit union achieve our mission statement for the community.

Kemba has achieved local and national success for its community outreach program. Starting in 2004 Kemba has won the Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility in the state of Ohio the past 4 years and finished 2nd nationally in 2006.
